The Enfield High softball team defeated RHAM to win the CCC East championship Thursday.

The Newington Volunteer Fire Department is on the scene of a motor vehicle that crashed into a pole on the Berlin Turnpike. Officials said the accident took place Sunday night on the Berlin Turnpike on Ann Street. Residents are asked to avoid the area. No reports on injuries have been given.

The Stafford High baseball team enjoyed the aerial show it put on Monday so much that it did it again on Tuesday.

A hydraulic fuel spill has closed part of Route 71 in Berlin on Wednesday morning. State Dept. of Transportation officials said Route 71 is closed between Route 364 and Norton Road. Authorities did not say how much hydraulic fuel was spilled or how long it may take to clean up.
